Comprehensive Early Childhood Programs

Nurturing Growth from 6 Weeks to 6 Years

Fun environment at BBECP

From their first steps to their first day of kindergarten.

At BBECP, we provide high-quality care and education for children six weeks to six years. Our professional staff, led by our director and teachers, foster each child’s emotional, physical, intellectual, and social development. The classroom layout, routines, and curriculum are tailored to suit individual and group needs using developmentally appropriate practices. Breakfast and lunch are served at our Fairfield and Norwalk locations, and snacks are provided at all locations!

We emphasize intentional teaching, assessing children to set personalized goals based on the Connecticut Preschool Assessment Framework across five key areas: Personal, Social, Physical, Cognitive, and Creative Development. Teachers promote active exploration, language development, and higher-order thinking through play.

Our staff participates in weekly team meetings and monthly reflective sessions to assess progress and continuously improve teaching methods. This ongoing professional development ensures we meet each child’s evolving needs while maintaining high standards in early education.

Infants

Our Infant Program nurtures emotional security, physical development, and early social skills. Through sensory play and interactive activities, infants develop motor skills and begin building communication in a safe, loving environment. Our approach follows the Creative Curriculum, which is carefully aligned with the Connecticut State Curriculum and Assessment Frameworks, ensuring developmentally appropriate practices.

Our teachers take an intentional teaching approach, observing and assessing each child’s unique needs. Weekly goals focus on the four domains of development: personal and social, physical, cognitive, and creative. This allows us to continuously tailor activities and provide meaningful, age-appropriate learning experiences.

Through ongoing professional development, our teachers stay up to date on the best strategies for infant care, using reflective practice to improve the learning environment and ensure that every child thrives.

Toddlers

Our program fosters independence and early learning for toddlers. The curriculum encourages language development, social interaction, and problem-solving through structured activities like group play and storytelling. Following the Creative Curriculum, we ensure that each activity aligns with the Connecticut State Curriculum and Assessment Frameworks to promote well-rounded growth.

Our staff are intentional teachers, setting personalized learning goals and focusing on the four key developmental domains. This intentional approach ensures that children are continuously challenged and supported as they build crucial social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

To maintain the highest standards, our team engages in regular professional development sessions, discussing effective teaching methods and strategies to support early learners in achieving their developmental milestones.

Pre-School

The Pre-School program at Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Program is designed to prepare children for school by emphasizing literacy, numeracy, and social skills development. The curriculum, based on the Creative Curriculum and aligned with the Connecticut Preschool Assessment Framework, focuses on active exploration, critical thinking, and language development. Children engage in hands-on activities that promote problem-solving and higher-order thinking.

As intentional teachers, our staff observes and evaluates each child’s progress in four developmental domains: personal and social, physical, cognitive, and creative development. Learning goals are updated regularly to ensure children are continuously learning and reaching their full potential.

Professional development is a cornerstone of our approach. Through weekly and monthly reflective team meetings, teachers discuss classroom progress, share strategies, and improve practices, ensuring the highest quality of early childhood education.
